On our first date in 2004, (while playing darts in L5P ATL) we dove right into a deep discussion regarding our upbringing and the most important events that we felt shaped us as individuals. We both attended outdoor camps in Colorado and agreed that the power of nature, the mountains and being away from the everyday pressures of life were transformative experiences. Our mission is to give children similar opportunities in nature and provide them with "camperships" to attend outdoor camps and see the world from a new perspective.

Who is Jolly Boy?
Get to Know Uncle Fred
Back in the late 1970s, Uncle Fred, a grandfather and artist, used the phrase “Jolly Boy” to describe a happy toddler who lived next door. He created the original Jolly Boy hat (above) for the young boy who personified the idea of what it means to be a Jolly Boy. Uncle Fred is an avid painter and is part of a group of artists who convene annually in Virginia with a focus on the outdoors and an appreciation for its ability to provide moments of reflection. His creativity and love of the outdoors help inspire the Jolly Boy brand today.

The smell of a campfire, a blanket of stars, winding tree lined trails...we believe these moments can be life changing.
